Abbas Sahhat (1874-1918)

He had got  medical education in the cities of Mashhad and Tehran. Since 1903, his articles are published in the East-Russian newspaper. A.Sahhat was representative of romantic literature of Azerbaijan, the founder of which was well-known ideologist Ali bey Huseynzade. He engaged in translation works and translated works of Lermontov, Pushkin, Krılov, Nadson, Maxim Gorky, Hugo, Musse, Sulli-Prudom and others classics into Azeri language.
Strongly objected to the refusal of Islamic values in Azerbaijan Abbas Sahhat had supported common Moslem Westernism idea.
