Ahmad Javad (1892-1937) - poet, translator

Starting creative activity with lyric poem, A. Javad’s was book “Qoshma” was published in 1916. The famous Independence for the poems book was released in 1928 in Istanbul.
The hard situation of Turkey at the beginning of the century seriously concerned Ahmed Javad, and he together with Abdullah Shaiq joined the volunteer group in “Caucasus voluntary unit” formed in Istanbul.
Meeting the foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan A. Javad worked night and day, and with practical work, artistic creativity did his best for the happiness of the people, his freedom.  
A.Javad was claimed as Panturkist and in 1937 became a victim of the Soviet repressive regime.
