Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Foundation

The objective of founding ADIF: the objectives of establishing the system of deposit insurance are to prevent the risk of losing the amount of money received from the natural persons when banks or regional affiliates of foreign banks lose their potential to pay, to ensure the stability and development of financial and banking system.

The main activities of the foundation include collecting insurance fees from the participating banks for the insurance of deposits, in accordance with the law, to ensure the safety of financial resources and the repayment of deposits to the insured depositors when an insurance case happens in the bank.

The banks and regional affiliates of the foreign banks which are entitled to involve deposits from the natural persons and have certificate of the Deposit Insurance Foundation are participants of the Foundation in Azerbaijan Republic.
