Ministry of Industry and Energy of Republic of Azerbaijan

Ministry of Industry and Energy is the central executive body carrying out state policy and regulation in industry and fuel and energy complex of the country.  

The Regulations of the Ministry was approved by presidential decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated on May 15, 2006.

Activity of the Ministry includes manufacturing of competitive industrial goods, the efficient use of energy resources,  providing the protection of the interests of state in this area, determining the perspective directions of the relevant field, working out of state and field programs of the directions, the development  concepts.

The ministry prepares forecast of separate energy production and consumption performance, activities of other bodies of executive power in the relevant field, as well as coordinates the activities of state-owned enterprises operating in the relevant field, or entities which have a controlling part of the shares at state-ownership.

The Ministry of Industry and Energy participates in the preparation of international agreements on cooperation in the area, of industry and energy, ensures implementation of international agreements, joined by Republic of Azerbaijan within its power, and coordinates the work done in this area.
