Molla Veli Vidadi (1707-1809) – poet

M. V. Vidadi’s heritage is less known. Sorrow and despair caused of feudal tyranny, the chaos at khanates period, and complaint on spiritual loneliness make the main motives of works of Molla Veli Vidadi. He had love poems, too. Lyrics of Vidadi are an example of high artistic craftsmanship. Vidadi was a poet inclined to realistic descriptions. A number of works his works had been translated into Russian and other languages.
