Despite Shah Ismail Khatai lived a short life he spent most of his time to state affairs however he could  create a rich multilateral heritage. The fact that the poet was sufi, had a strong impact on his poetry and gave him a courageous humanist spirit. In multilateral poetry of Khatai epic works occupy an important place.
The significant part of Khatai’s literary heritage comprises works written in the syllable rhythm. The history of poems with syllable rhythm begins with Khatai.  Popular “Shah Ismayil’ epos was written about his life and struggle.
