Molla Panah Vagif

Molla Panah Vagif is one of our new type, real, folk poets that wrote in the spirit of our people and traditions of the Middle Ages His works influenced the further development of poetry in Azerbaijan.

Vagif used all classic forms of oriental poetry. However, a large portion of his creative activity makes the poetry written in the form of ashuq poems. The language of those poems is very close to the spoken language of the people.
