Mirza Fatali Akhundov

M. F. Akhundov though wrote prose works, but is known as the founder of drama in the history of Azerbaijani literature.

At the same time A. Akhundov is representative of the freest way of thinking in Azerbaijani literature. Mirza Fatali defended the necessity of radical reforms in the public, social and political spheres of Islamic world.
