He was born in Shirvan, and later moved to Turkey, where worked as palace doctors and wrote a number of medical work in Ottoman Turkic. His most famous work, which deals with eye diseases’ treatment "Murshid". In addition Mohammad Shirvani wrote other "Tohfeyi-Muradi" ("Murad contribution") book. This book is about life-giving power of the precious stones was dedicated to the Ottoman sultan Murad II (1421-1451). Mohammad Shirvani had translated some valuable medical works from Arabic and Persian languages into Turkish.
