Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan

The Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan is non-governmental, independent, self-governing organization, and that includes all the lawyers, and was established with non-commercial aims. The Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan started its activity under the Law On the Regulation of Advocacy of the Azerbaijan SSR approved by the Law of Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic dated November 13, 1980. After Azerbaijan gained its independence the organization and activity of the Bar Association is regulated and by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan On Lawyers and a lawyer on and adopted in accordance with it the Charter of the Bar Association.

The task of the Bar Association

The main purpose of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan is defense of each person\'s rights and freedoms and lawful interests, rendering them professional, high quality, good faith legal assistance, and to increase the prestige of the advocacy profession.
