Gazakh sultanateThe sultanate that established in the north-west of Azerbaijan was included in Garabagh-Ganja beylerbeylik during the Safavids. Gazakhs had the legacy power. The Gazakh sultanate, which was given by Nadir shah to subordination of Kartli czar Teymuraz was later in composition of Sheki khanate in 1752 and in 1801 it was annexed by Russia in the structure of Kartli-Kakhetia. The sultanate was abolished in 1819.
