Azerbaijan

It is cave located in the south-west of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains in the south-eastern slope, at Guruchay left bank. Azykh cave area is 800 sq. km. There are 8 corridors, which stretch up to 600 meters in length. The height of some of corridors reaches 20-25 meters. Azykh cave attract the attention as the largest cave discovered in the Caucasus so far. After investigations on finding it became clear that it has a history of at least 350-400 thousand years.
