Commemorative Coins (1992-2010) 

Gold and silver coins dedicated to memory of Mahammad Fuzuli
In 1996 first time there were released by National Bank gold coins of 100 manat and silver coins 50 manat face value dedicated to 500th anniversary of life and activities of a notable poet and thinker Mahammad Fuzuli (1494-1556). There was presented face of the Mahammad Fuzuli on the head of coin, and on the back side there was presented one scene from famous poem of the poet “Leyli and Mejnun”. Commemorative coins were made according to high international standards in the “Royal Mint” of Great Britain.

Gold and silver coins dedicated to 1300th anniversary of epos “Kitabi – Dede Gorgud”
In 1999 there was put into circulation gold coins of 100 manat and silver of 50 manat face value dedicated 1300nd anniversary of “Kitabi-Dede Gorgud” epos.
Commemorative coins were minted according high international standards in the Mint of National Bank of Ukrainian Republic.

Platinum, gold and silver coins dedicated to the memory of Heydar Aliyev
According to the decree of the President of Azerbaijan Republic on immortalize memory of National Leader of Azerbaijan people Heydar Alirza oglu Aliyev Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic on December 10 2004 put into circulation platinum, gold and silver commemorative coins.
On the head of coin minted portrait of national leader of Azerbaijan people Heydar Aliyev, on the right side of the portrait “Heydar Aliyev” words, on the back side of the coin minted the map of Azerbaijan Republic and words “The independence of Azerbaijan permanent, eternal, irreversible… ”.Your browser may not support display of this image. Commemorative coins were minted according to high international standards in English “Royal Mint”.
Under the map on the back side of coin minted “2004” date of issue of commemorative coins, around the map on the top in the circle form indicated “Azerbaijan Republic”, on the bottom minted nominal of the commemorative coins.
Commemorative coins are legal means of payment on the territory of Azerbaijan Republic.

Gold batch of new gepiks
In regard with conducting denomination processes in 2006 there was signed agreement with “Austrian Mint” to release according to design of new gepiks the batch of gold coins.
According to the agreement there was released 50 pieces of special gold commemorative batch.

Silver coins dedicated to the World Football Championships 
In 2006 silver memory coins with value of 50 AZN was produced  in Poland by “Polish Mint” dedicated to World Football Championships held in Germany in 2006.
In the front side of the memorial coin the image of football players andwords 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany and in back side the description of the Emblem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan words and value of coin were described. In the lower side of the emblem the year of emission of coin  2004 was noted. Memorial coin is subject of legal tender with face value in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Gold coin dedicated to Heydar Aliyev\'s 85th anniversary 
In 2008, in connection with celebrating of the 85th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev in the country scale the National Bank of Azerbaijan  ordered to “Austrian Mint” to prepare  commemorative gold coins in value of 100 AZN and put into circulation.
In the front side of memorial coin the portrait of national leader Heydar Aliyev, and
in the back side the emblem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was described.
In the lower part of the emblem the year of emission of coin  2008 year, and the words “Republic of Azerbaijan” and the value of memorial coin was given.
Memorial coin is subject of legal tender with face value in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In 2008, within a series of culture  memorial coins dedicated to great poet and thinker of Azerbaijan Nizami Ganjavi, the great opera singer, vocalist Bulbul and the great composer, musician U.  Hajibeyov gold coins worth of 100 AZN were produced and released into circulation. Commemorative coins was produced by Austrian Mint of Austria.

On the front side of the memorial coin the portrait of great Azerbaijani poet N. Ganjavi, and in the back side Azerbaijani miniatures were described.
Around the portrait the year of emission of the memorial coin  2008 year, and the words Republic of Azerbaijan”, the name of poet and value of memory coins were given.
Memorial coin is subject of legal tender with face value in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Around the portrait of famous vocalist Bulbul the year of emission of the memorial coin  2008 year, and the words Republic of Azerbaijan”, the name of vocalist and value of memory coins were given.

Gold coin dedicated to the memory of Uzeyir Hajibeyov 
Memorial coin is dedicated to the memory of  the great composer, musician Uzeyir Hajibeyov.
Around the portrait the year of emission of the memorial coin  2008 year, and the words Republic of Azerbaijan”, the name of composer and value of memory coins were given.
Sikkəsinin are released near the memorial portrait of the 2008 year, and the words, the composer\'s name and memory are sikkəsinin value.
Memorial coin is subject of legal tender with face value in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It was emitted on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the establishment of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan.
Memorial coin was prepared in “Austrian Mint in accordance with high standards.
Memorial coin is subject of legal tender with face value in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
