Heydar Aliyev

Heydar Aliyev is a prominent socio-political and state figure, the ex-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He is considered to be one of the prominent figures of the world politics of XX century and one of the leaders of USSR. H.Aliyev had unparalleled merits in achieving regional peace and friendship, as well as enhancing international standing of Azerbaijan during his presidency over the independent Azerbaijan. He was awarded a number of high-level international peace prizes, the titles of doctor emeritus of the universities of various countries for his political and social activities. The Monuments and busts were erected in his honour in many countries of the world.
