Niyazi Tagizade-Hajibeyov

He is a prominent Azerbaijani conductor and composer. The formation and development of Azerbaijan school of conductors is closely associated with his name. He brought a fame to Azerbaijan music all over the world with a lot of successful performances as a conductor in a number of countries of Europe and Asia. He was awarded the International Nehru Prize in India for the ballet “Chitra”.
