Mustafa Topchubashov

He is surgeon, a public figure and statesman. One of the first real members of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (1945), academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR (1960), the honored worker of science (1940). Hero of Socialist Labor (1975). Stalin Prize winner (1943), was a vice-president of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (1951-56 and 1969-81). After graduating from the Medical Faculty of the University of Kiev (1919), had the surgery in Nakhichevan and Baku hospitals, since 1930 head of Department of Surgery of Azerbaijan State Medical Institute named after N. Narimanov, was the director of the Institute of Experimental Medicine.

Topchubashov’s  endless interest in music made him a close friend with U.Hajibayov. U. Hajibayov called him “philosopher and composer of medicine. With the advice of U.Hajibeyov  Topchubashov had some surgical operations with accompaniment of music and it was noted repeatedly that it was very useful.
