Ministry Of Justice Of The Republic Of Azerbaijan

Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan  is central executive authority carrying out state policy and regulation in the field of justice in accordance with the directions of the legislation, having a status of law enforcement authorities. 

Ministry of Justice carries out legal expertise of the normative legal acts and state registration of records, gives proposals on projects for the improvement of legislation and regulatory documents, involved in the preparation of draft laws and carrying out of awareness-raising works.  

Keeps the registration and state registration of legal entities, registration of printed publications, leads the activities of the notary offices, the state registration of acts of civil status, the state register of the population of Republic of Azerbaijan,   legalization of documents on the interstate adoption issues, and takes all necessary measures within their authority.

It studies conformity of activities of political parties, non-governmental organizations, representatives of foreign non-governmental organizations to their charters, and compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In addition, it takes actions for performance of duties charged with the court executors and the relevant court controllers, controls on activities of establishments executing the punishments and observation of execution of punishments and requirements of normative legal acts during detention under the arrest, including observation of conditions of punishments.
