Tokay MammadovTokay Mammadov (1927) He graduated from the sculpture department of the Leningrad Academy of Arts named after I.Repin, and began teaching activity in the State Art School named after A. Azimzade. There are hundreds of portraits in portraits gallery from marble, bronze, plaster materials. He had created the bust portraits of Uzeir Hajibeyov, people\'s painter Rustam Mustafayev, women painter Vajiha Samedova, writer Suleyman Rahimov, the Polish composer Frederick Chopin and the Austrian composer Amadeus Mozart. In 1960 the monument of composer U.Hajibeyov was installed in front of conservatoire. Tokay Mammadov had erected the monument of Mashadi Azizbeyov, the revolutionary that struggled for establishment of the Soviet regime in 1976 in Baku. For this monument sculptor was awarded with the USSR State Prize in 1978. Tokay Mammadov also had created monuments of Azerbaijani poet Imamaddin Nasimi and “The XI Red Army of monuments in the monumental area. He is the honored Art Worker of Azerbaijan, People\'s Artist of the Republic, a member of the USSR Academy of Fine Arts and in addition Tokay Mammadov was awarded the State Prize in 1982. He is also awarded with “Honor badge, Peoples Friendship, Glory orders. At present, sculptor teaches at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Art.
