Munevver Rzayeva

He studied in Azerbaijan State Art School named after A. Azimzade  and Academy of Art  named after Surikov in Moscow. He became a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan since 1958.

In particular, she created psychological portraits. She used in creativity granite, marble, bronze, wood, etc. materials. She mainly created sculptures of art people (poets and writers), including statues, bust, bas-reliefs and other works of statesmen and heroes of labor.

Munevver Rzayeva is an author of hundreds statues erected in Baku and other regions of Azerbaijan. Among  monuments in Baku : alto-relievo of Sevil Gaziyev (bronze, 1969), statue of Mikail Mushfiq (red granite, 1970), statue of Russian poet Yesenin (1977), statue of Ayna Sultanova (1986), monuments of Bahmanyar in the Museum of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, (marble), and Nasimi (wood) can be mentioned.

She created monuments of Mehseti Ganjavi (bronze, 1983) in Ganja, Nigar Rafibeyli (bronze, 1998, together with Fakhraddin Aliyev), Mikail Mushfiq (bronze, 1989) in Khizi.

One of her last  work is a bronze bas-relief of ex-president of  Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev (length 82 cm, width 59 cm, weight is 42 kg) fixed at height of 3763 meters of the mountain located in Gusar region of Azerbaijan. Bas-relief was fixed by group of mountaineers that conquered the highest mountain peak group, on May 10, 1998 on the occasion of 75th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev.
